patas and traffic management orders(don’t trust them)

by Administrator on Jan.30, 2012, under parking fines etc

I lost a case at patas for loading furniture for more than 20 minutes even though i had won an identical case previously.on this occassion westminster council did not supply the traffic loading order which specifies that loading furniture is exempt from the 20 minute rule.silly me,i thought patas knew about this exemption, turns out the dont(or choose to ignore it)
i asked for a review of the case,a second adjudicator looked it over, and surprise, surprise, agreed with the first adjudicator so thats me £130 down.
i then get another pcn from westminster which goes to patas.this time i ask for a personal hearing.i also ask that westminster show the relevant part of the order that says i cant load furniture for more than 20 minutes.
on the same day that patas write to me to say if i want to take the lost case further then i have to go to court they also write to say that westminster council have dropped the most recent case and i dont have to pay anything.swings and roundabouts and nothing to do with natural justice.so as i say”don’t trust patas”.

by Administrator on Mar.06, 2011, under parking fines etc

have appealed to patas against westminster for recieving a PCN for taking
45 minutes to load where westminster say i am allowed only 20 minutes.
i appealed on the grounds that loading heavy furniture has no time limit.

Camden pcn.Lost appeal for parking two wheels on kerb

by Administrator on Sep.30, 2010, under parking fines etc

Was given a ticket in january and it’s only just recently been decided in Camden’s favour.
First time i have lost an appeal to the independent arbitrator. The ruling was that it was up to me to prove that there was not enough room for vehicles to pass safely. In future when we must park on kerbs we must take photo’s. £120. so thats 12 to me and one to them.

We wont load on double red lines. Not even for Sasha ****

by Administrator on Sep.24, 2010, under parking fines etc

With limited parking at 9.30a.m. we were expected to load on double red lines.
We refused and offered to load further down the hill.Sasha informed us she would find someone who would park on the red route as thats what every one else does. She did to be fair offer to pay the fine if we got a ticket.what many people don’t realise is that we get fined by post (cctv).
All in all a waste of a morning.
Got another call asking if we can dump rubbish cheaply.(They don’t care where)
Probably they too can find someone to do that as well.

kensington and chelsea loading (furniture) rules.residents parking bays

by Administrator on Sep.14, 2010, under parking fines etc

“Vehicles moving domestic or office furniture can do so without applying for a parking suspension, if a parking space is available. This does not mean that you can block the area off. You can also stop your vehicle on single yellow lines as long as it is not causing an obstruction. The unloading and loading must be taking place continually, or the vehicle will be liable for a Penalty Charge Notice as it will be parked illegally.”

i called the Parking Services Customer Services Centre Address:Hornton Street, W8 7NX
Tel: 020 7361 3004 and dion? says we can load all day in a residents parking bay as long as we are no more than 5 minutes away from the van.
