blackwall tunnel closed all weekend

Blackwall Tunnel closed southbound due to major roadworks between A12 and A2203 Blackwall Lane in Poplar. Diversion in operation – all traffic can use the Dartford Crossing and Woolwich Ferry. The Rotherhithe Tunnel and Tower Bridge can also be used although these have restrictions for larger vehicles. Expect delays

I was planning on using the blackwall tunnel this saturday, guess I will have to rethink my route, thanks for the heads up

How annoying! This is going to really affect my driving routes. Oh well, so goes. Thanks for the info.

Thank for update. The other routes must be very busy due to this tunnel closed. you helped people to get rid of some hassle.

At least they are telling a week before it will be closed. Here on our place? you will get surprise in the morning why their is a road block suddenly. No notification given to tax payers, they will just place a billboard, saying “gov”t project, do not de;ay” wow! was that proper?
